"If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours.”

-Anonymous

Simple Gifts Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that was started to pass along a smile to a child who is confronted with a hospital stay due to an acute, chronic, or terminal illness. Hospitals are sometimes scary places, and we want to help ease the pain by sharing a "smile." Simple Gifts Project works with school groups, scout troops, youth groups, and individuals by creating, filling, and distributing Smile Bags to pediatric patients. It is a way that kids can give back to their community and pass along a little cheer to children in need of a smile.

Kindness Lessons for 2nd Graders

Thank you to Barclay Elementary 2nd Graders for inviting Simple Gifts Project into your classrooms again this spring. We read a book together and talked about how each of us hare unique, and have our own special gifts to share with others. We wrote these traits down on puzzle pieces and created a huge smile…we can spread love and kindness individually AND together. We also used some “kindness developer” to reveal some secret messages. Always fun to see these kiddos and their amazing teachers!

Thank You to the William Tennent HS Key Club

The William Tennent High School Key Club collected items for and filled 75 parent bags. This is the 7th year we have had the opportunity to work with this great group and their mentor teachers! We are looking forward to seeing this same group next year! Thank you for all of your continued support!

Thank You to the New Hope Solebury HS Key Club

We went to New Hope-Solebury High School to meet with their Key Club for our third annual packing event. This group, of over 75 students, helped to fill Teen Bags for us. They collected money for Simple Gifts Project through a special Egg Your House Fundraiser. We are so very grateful for the generous donation of both their time and money to our cause. We are already looking forward to going back again next year!

Thank You to Barclay 2nd Graders

Thank you to this incredible and dedicated group of second graders and their teacher at Barclay Elementary School! This is the third annual Smile Bag Kindness Day that we have had there, and we look forward to many more in the future! These kiddos raised money for SGP by collecting coins that also helped with a math unit too. They donated enough money to fill 100 Smile Bags and they also made kindness bookmarks, and a cool kindness quilt poster. Such a wonderful day!

Thank You to the Perkiomen Valley HS Key Club

Thank you to this amazing group of students from Perkiomen Valley High School’s Key Club. Earlier this winter we met with the PVHS Key Club for our third annual packing event! This group, of over 70 students, helped to fill Teen Bags for us. They also collected items that helped to fill those bags. We are so very grateful for the generous donation of their time and resources to our cause. We are already looking forward to going back again next year!

Thank You for Your Generosity!

Each year Giving Tuesday continues to be our greatest fundraising event. We are so incredibly grateful to our wonderful donors, who gave to our Kindness is a Superpower Campaign. So far we have reached about 75% of our goal. If you did not have a chance to give last week, but want to contribute to our cause, please feel free to use the donate link above. Thank you again for everyone for your continued support of our mission!

Kindness Spreads at Barclay Elementary this Fall!

Thank you to Barclay Elementary 2nd Graders for inviting Simple Gifts Project into your classrooms again this year. We were so excited to be back at Barclay with some fun kindness “lessons” in October, November, and we’ll be back in December too! Together we read a book about Mary and how her kindness spread through her community. We also did a demonstration showing how kindness spreads. It was great meeting these wonderful students and we are already looking forward to our Smile Bag filling event in March!

We Are So Excited for the 2025-26 School Year! SGP is Looking Forward to Meeting New Students and Connecting with Friends this Year!
